Maxwell Klug
Br. Maxwell Klug is a Franciscan Friar (OFM) and a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Province. He earned his BA double majoring in Philosophy and French Literature & Language from Loyola University Chicago and his AM in Social Work, Social Welfare Policy, and Social Administration from The University of Chicago. He was ordained a transitional deacon in 2022 and he is currently pursuing his MDiv degree, ordination track, at Catholic Theological Union and is expected to graduate Spring 2023.
Outside of his academics, Br. Maxwell has been involved in an array of ministries both in the United States and abroad. He worked for 8 years with active and former gang members in Chicago, ministered to and with refugees and immigrants in N. Africa and Canada, he has worked in high school campus ministry in Milwaukee, WI., journeyed with LGBTQIA+ university students, and has been involved in worker’s rights campaigns in the Chicagoland area. Br. Maxwell is currently working as a licensed child and adolescent trauma therapist in Chicago, IL.
