Position Summary
The Pastor serves as a spiritual leader and shepherd of All Saints Lutheran Church (ASLC). This
role is responsible for preaching and teaching the Word of God, administering the Sacraments,
providing pastoral care, and equipping the congregation for ministry in accordance with the
church’s Constitution, Confession of Faith, and Mission.
Key Responsibilities*
1. Preaching, Worship, and Sacraments
● Provide biblical, theologically sound, and relevant preaching for weekly worship
services.
● Oversee the planning and leadership of all worship services, including seasonal liturgies
(e.g., Lent, Advent, Holy Week).
● Administer Baptism and the Lord’s Supper in accordance with Lutheran doctrine.
● Coordinate with music and worship teams to ensure services are meaningful and
spiritually enriching.
2. Pastoral Care and Discipleship
● Offer pastoral care through counseling, visitation, and prayer for individuals and families.
● Provide spiritual guidance during life transitions, including weddings, funerals, baptisms,
and hospital stays.
● Develop and support opportunities for adult / youth education, Bible study, and spiritual
formation.
3. Leadership and Administration
● Lead and collaborate with the Senior Pastor, Church Council, ministry teams, and staff to
fulfill the church’s mission.
● Provide leadership in vision casting, strategic planning, and congregational development.
● Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring alignment with church goals and values.
● Attend and report at Church Council and congregational meetings.
● Plan, organize and prepare for church events, such as the Spaghetti Dinner, Steak Fry,
Bingo, summer picnics and other fundraising.
4. Outreach and Community Engagement
● Represent ASLC in the wider community through involvement in local outreach,
ecumenical relations, and partnerships.
● Encourage congregational involvement in mission and service efforts locally and globally

The Director of Liturgy, Prayer, and Worship is responsible for assisting the Pastor with overall efforts to ensure parishioners encounter Jesus Christ through prayer, the sacraments, and worship. The scope of this role is to discern, design, and implement ongoing liturgy, prayer, and worship opportunities for everyone in the parish. The Director provides leadership in the planning, execution and celebration of all parish liturgical celebrations, including sacramental celebrations and works collaborative with music ministry, office of lifelong formation and school. The director is responsible for ensuring that the public prayer space is a place of welcome and witness as family, friends, neighbors and guests gather.
