Libia Paez-Howard, MDiv ’03

Archdiocese of Chicago,  Lifelong Formation Coordinator, Vicariate III

A native of Venezuela, Libia arrived in the United States in 1987 as a volunteer with the Sinsinawa Dominicans, serving as a catechist and a Catholic school aid at Epiphany Peace School on Chicago’s west side. For over 30 years Libia and her husband Tom (also a CTU graduate) have served the Archdiocese in various capacities. The Paez-Howard family celebrate their faith at Good Shepherd Parish in Chicago’s Little Village community. Libia has translated her pastoral skills in practical ways, inspiring countless Hispanic women to achieve certification and later to be hired as either part-time or full-time DREs at parishes.
