Lord of Heaven and Earth,
We ask you to pour out your Holy Spirit upon our newly elected Pope, Leo,
That as Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church,
He may call us forth in the name of Jesus Christ the Good Shepherd,
That he may draw us near,
Closer together,
East and West,
North and South,
That we may be one, as you, the Son, and the Spirit are one.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God forever and ever.
