Blessed Trinity, our love flows out into the universe and saturates it with mercy and justice. Our Creator Father, blessed are you for creating our world and many other worlds of beautiful creatures through our Lord Jesus Christ, who is our Exemplar and the Savior of all created things. Through Him, you bring us into an intimate relationship with You. Holy Spirit, comfort us and lead us. Comfort us as we continue to mourn for Pope Francis I. We give you thanks for Francis’ Spirit-filled and faithful servanthood and for giving us him to love and cherish.

Holy Trinity, bless our new Pope, Leo XIV, and work with him as he serves us with a fruitful and gospel-informed magisterial presence that blesses all with his wisdom and goodness. Accompany him and give him courage as he confronts moral and systemic evil; be by his side as he names it at such. Lend Your beauty and presence to moments of joy. Smile on him often to refresh him so that he relishes the work you have given him! Bring all Catholics together, unite them as they thrive under his leadership. Assist him as he reaches out to other faithful people in interreligious and ecumenical dialogue.

We praise You and give You thanks daily for your wonderful gift of this man to the world. Give us all peaceful ways and teach us how we may grow closer to you, day-by-day, as we strive to live the gospel message. AMEN!
