Catholic Theological Union was notified this week that publications edited by President Sr. Barbara Reid, OP, and Vice President and Academic Dean Fr. Ferdinand Okorie, CMF, won multiple Catholic Media Awards. Wisdom Commentary, for which President Reid is General Editor, is a series of detailed feminist interpretations of every book of the Bible, won first and second place honors for Scripture – Academic Studies. And US Catholic, a magazine published by the Claretians and has Dean Okorie as editor-in-chief, was named “Magazine of the Year.”

The awards, given by the Catholic Media Association, are a testament to the scholarship and dedication of CTU’s leaders, as well as their colleagues and collaborators. It has long been said since the founding of CTU in 1968 that this is the institution that writes the books that others teach from. These awards are an indication of the continuation of our scholarly legacy – CTU writes and edits the important theological works of our day.

Congratulations to President Reid and Dean Okorie!
