Position Title: Director of Lifelong Faith Formation

The Director of Lifelong Faith Formation is a vital member of the pastoral team at St. Mary of Vernon, dedicated to fostering encounters with Jesus Christ through dynamic educational experiences, prayer, and the sacraments. Key Responsibilities
Faith Formation Leadership
• Religious Education: Direct and oversee programs for grades K-6, including sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
• Lifelong Faith Formation: Develop and implement initiatives that encourage spiritual growth and deepen discipleship across all stages of life.
• Intergenerational Engagement: Design and manage faith formation opportunities for children, youth, adults, and families, ensuring inclusivity and relevance.
Specialized Programs
• Oversee and train ministry leaders to run programs such as Baptism Preparation, Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW), SPRED, Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), and Young Adults.
• Address diverse learning needs with tailored approaches and support systems.
Community Engagement
• Organize meetings, workshops, and special events, including Family Reconciliation services and a vibrant Vacation Bible School (VBS) program.
• Inspire parishioners through year-round spiritual and intellectual development opportunities.

Administrative Responsibilities (with the assistance of an administrative assistant)
• Record Management: Maintain accurate records for students, catechists, and volunteers. Oversee the registration and enrollment processes for all faith formation programs.
• Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and support catechists and volunteers while ensuring compliance with Archdiocesan Safe Environment policies.
• Effective Communication: Utilize various communication channels to promote class schedules, parent meetings, events, and other faith formation opportunities.
• Program Scheduling: Create and submit annual calendars for faith formation programs in collaboration with the Director of Operations.
• Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the Lifelong Faith Formation budget in partnership with the Director of Operations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with parish staff, local vicariates, and diocesan leaders to enhance program development and foster community partnerships.

The Assistant Director works with the Director of Campus Ministry to foster the spiritual and religious growth of students and all members of the university community using the four pillars of Campus Ministry at SXU: cultivating spiritual growth, living Mercy, working and educating for justice, and fostering authentic community.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1.Responsibilities

Qualifications and Requirements

Master’s degree in ministry, theology, or equivalent field (M.Div. preferred)

Continuing Care Coordinator
Saint John Vianney Center (SJVC) is a non-profit licensed 50-bed behavioral health hospital and addictions treatment center for Clergy and Men and Women Religious. We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Continuing Care Coordinator (CCC). The Continuing Care Coordinator assists residents/clients at SJVC with ongoing case management while patients are in treatment, with discharge planning and aftercare. Campus Ministers assist in the coordination of weekly student liturgies, major University-wide Masses, and prayer services. ABOUT THE ROLE

Grounded in our purpose and priorities, the Executive Director (ED) will be responsible for the execution of programs to advance the USCCA’s mission of dialogue and bridge building between Catholics in China and the USA. The executive director will be a self directed, a team-player and a collaborative servant leader who can generate excitement and commitment for the USCCA mission with an outward focus of engagement. The executive director will collaborate with and leverage the experience and expertise of the Board of Directors, many of whom are academic and mission experts in the Catholic Church in China. The executive director will understand that this is a Catholic ministry commitment and not merely a job. The role involves the amplification of the voices of the Chinese people and their lived religious experience.

Among the many responsibilities of the Executive Director are the following priorities:

Strategy: Supports the board in a generative engagement strategy of sustained dialogue and learning between friends and supporters of the Church in China and the U.S. with a focus on engaged membership.

Programming: Coordinates webinars, seminars and book circles including the Speakers’ Series of international academic and religious China experts. Coordinates the USCCA’s biennial conference, friendship ministry, mission appeal and annual study tours to China with the Board and partners in China.

Fundraising: Manages the annual global fundraising appeal and ensures that financial goals are attained. Supports the annual mission appeals through a presentation series of speaking engagements by Board and Associate Directors at U.S. Catholic churches promoting an intercultural encounter between the Catholic Church in China and the Church in the U.S. Pursue grants and initiates creative fund-raising opportunities.

Budget: Prepares and manages the annual budget in an effective and transparent manner.

Communication: Manages the website, social media, blog posts, and email campaigns through multichannel outreach. Keeps the Board informed on programming and operational activities and challenges.

Administration and Operations: Manages human resources including directing contractors and volunteers. Maintains all internal IT systems, including outward facing and internal collaboration and financial applications. Establishes annual priorities through an operational plan/objectives and key results with quantifiable goals in coordination with the Board of Directors. Drives performance and accountability through measurable impact.

Reporting: Prepares monthly, and annual activity reports for the Board of Directors.

Job description

Plan, organize and coordinate participation in Ignatian retreats and spirituality programs. Gather retreatant information regarding dietary restrictions, accessible accommodations and other needs related to medical needs.
Respond to all individual retreat inquiries to encourage attendance at a retreat that aligns with each individual’s spiritual needs including silent retreats, 12 step recovery retreats, semi-silent retreats, retreats for veterans and their families, Ignatian Yoga retreats, and many others.
Proactively communicate with 100+ volunteer Captains and Ambassadors to provide information, encouragement and marketing materials for their Ministry of Invitation.
Provide amazing hospitality to our retreatants so they feel like welcome guests everyday they are here and aiding them as necessary.
Coordinate with retreat leaders and communicate regularly with presenters and ministry team members regarding status of events, AV, handouts, schedules and other needs
Update and maintain database of retreatants, reports, schedules and paperwork for all retreats and coordinate with accounting to ensure all event contributions are acknowledged and recorded
Welcome guests at event check-in in order to ensure satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any issues that arise
Collaborate with marketing to ensure retreat is promoted to appropriate market channels and communicate event details with all key departments including ministry team, dining services, housekeeping and facilities teams.
Provide administrative support to the Executive and Associate Directors and perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Coordinate the activities of two or more in-house volunteers that provide clerical support
Participate in communications strategy with our marketing coordinator including maintaining website, social media posts, and reminder emails and texts
Serve as a program ambassador
Participate in a silent Ignatian retreat annually

Qualifications:
