Life Satisfaction Scale for Apostolic Women Religious

To assist women religious individually and communally.

The Life Satisfaction Scale for Apostolic Women Religious (LSSAWR) was created by Maria Clara Kreis, CDP, Ph.D., L.P. out of her passion and commitment to religious life. Dr. Kreis and Duquesne University have been awarded a generous grant from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation to create a manual (English, Spanish & German) for the LSSAWR, and to extend its use to the youngest generations in religious life. Through the invitation of Dr. Marian Diaz, the International LSSAWR Project is now housed at Catholic Theological Union in the ‘Thriving in Ministry’ department. This project is generously founded by the Lilly Endowment Foundation.

The LSSAWR assesses satisfaction levels of Roman Catholic Apostolic women religious individually and communally as they discern their on-going commitment to religious life. It can also assess satisfaction levels across generations of women religious.

Participants in our studies can receive their LSSAWR scores immediately! The LSSAWR Manual is now available and can be read in English, Spanish, and German.

In this #Nunday video by A Nun’s Life Ministry, Sister Clara Kreis, CDP, reflects on how her ministry has transformed her life.
