About the movie

Join CTU for a special screening and discussion of Hesburgh, a limited-release documentary profiling the late University of Notre Dame president, Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, CSC. The University’s president from 1952 to 1987, Father Hesburgh was a charter member of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, and a collaborator with four popes and seven presidents.

Following the screening, Rev. Kevin Sandberg, CSC, the director of Notre Dame’s Center for Social Concerns, will join CTU’s Steve Millies in a conversation about Father Hesburgh’s life of faithful and patriotic service, and his ongoing legacy in the fields of social justice, racial equality, and public theology that can teach us today how to seek the common good together.
