Building a Beloved Community: 1/31

Few are the occasions where the CTU community can learn from the lived experiences of teens of color simply because these two worlds rarely intersect.  Building the Beloved Community is a series of three conversations that seeks to facilitate dialogue and community-building through viewing a series of video plays written by Black Teens about their life experiences at the intersection of race, gender, class, sexuality, and adolescence.  The series is created and facilitated by teaching artists from Silk Road Rising, a community-centered arts organization founded in Chicago in 2002.  This program is co-sponsored by the Schreiter Institute, Pathways@CTU, Augustus Tolton Scholarship Program, and the Center for the Study for Consecrated Life.
