Come join the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration mission and ministry. We are seeking a full-time Vocation Promoter to join our team at St. Rose Convent, the spiritual heart and administrative center of FSPA in La Crosse, WI.
Based in La Crosse, WI, the St. Rose Convent is home to the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration and the Mary of the Angels Chapel. As the Vocation Promoter you would provide advanced administrative support to the Discernment office, including logistical, collaboration and communicative support.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Respond to initial inquiries and screen discerners via phone calls, letters, mailings, emails and/or visits.
• Assist FSPA Communications office with promotion of religious life, FSPA charism, mission and vocational discernment.
• Be appropriately available as a supportive presence for women in the Discernment process with FSPA.
• Assist in arranging and coordinating details for discernment retreats, communal experiences for inquirers and applicants, such as Come and See weekends and Live-In experiences.
• Arrange vocation fairs, career days, busy student retreats and presentations in parishes, schools, colleges and other community spaces.
• In collaboration with the FSPA Communications department, assist in the design, production, and distribution of brochures, newsletters, e-mail marketing and other discernment materials.
We are looking for an energetic, caring individual who has:
• Ability to articulate theology of call, Franciscan values, FSPA community tradition and stories, and contemporary cultural issues as related to Church and ministry.
• Availability to work some nights and weekends, including some travel.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry, Religious Studies, or Communications
• Knowledge of Franciscan values, FSPA charism, mission and community life and religious life.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience of listening or pastoral skills
• General knowledge of office management at a level normally acquired through completion of related course work or through advanced education or equivalent work experience.
