Salary: 11 months – Starting base salary no less than $60,000 with opportunity for higher base salary depending on experience, education level, and credentials.
Position Overview
The Director of Campus Ministry reports to the Principal and is responsible for creating an environment which encourages and guides all members to contribute to the Catholic identity of Marian Catholic High School and the formation of a faith community which responds to the diverse spiritual needs of the students, faculty, staff, and parents. In collaboration with the administration, faculty, staff, parents, and students, the Director of Campus Ministry and Student Life will provide leadership in the ministerial, liturgical, pastoral, and spiritual life of Marian Catholic High School.
Qualifications
Minimum of a B.A. in Theology or Religious studies.
Previous experience in youth ministry or working with youth in a high school, college, or parish setting.
Belief and deep understanding of and respect for the Catholic faith tradition.
Understand, embrace, and be able to articulate the mission and vision of Marian Catholic High School.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Possess professional verbal and written communication skills.
Program development experiences that grow our faith community.
Must be able to take initiative and build and maintain a strong rapport and positive relationships with students and staff.
Job Responsibilities
Develops and implements spiritual programs and religious/service activities which enhance the Catholic Identity of Marian Catholic High School.
Works in cooperation and collaboration with the Dominican Sisters of Springfield, Theology department, students, faculty, and staff to enhance the spiritual and prayer life of the school.
Plans and executes retreat programs for the freshmen, sophomore, and junior classes.
Oversees the planning and facilitation of Marian Catholic High School's Kairos retreat program.
Encourages and mentors student leadership on retreats.
Selects, oversees, and develops the Dominican Preachers in all their responsibilities.
Oversees the Assistant Director of Campus Ministry.
Oversees Helping Hands Moderator.
Oversees Special Olympics Moderator.
Oversees the facilitation of goals and related actions steps in Marian Catholic High School's Strategic Plan in the areas of Catholic identity and Mission Integration.
Oversees the development and facilitation of faith formation and student wellness activities during Marian Catholic's Emmaus time.
Serves as ex-officio member of the Mission Integration Committee of the Marian Catholic Board of Directors.
