Summary:
-There are two main foci of the Chaplain Resident position: one is the educational training which consists of both theoretical and practical aspects of ministry. The second is the service aspect in which the Resident works as a member of a spiritual care staff. Under the direction of a Clinical Pastoral Education Manager and an on-site mentor the Chaplain Resident ministers to patients, families, staff and/or clients at an assigned facility within the Sisters Hospital CPE Program agreed upon sites. As an integral member of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team, the Resident provides spiritual and emotional support for patients, families, and staff within the context of illness, suffering, loss and death.
