The hundreds of faith-filled students studying at CTU this year are the hope for the future of the Catholic Church. They are the future ministers who will lead us in prayer, comfort us in moments of loss, teach our children, care for our poor, accompany our students on campus, and bring the presence of Christ into our hospitals and jails.
The CARES Act
CARES Act offers up to $300 deduction for charitable giving.
The federal stimulus CARES Act gives taxpayers an extra incentive to financially support CTU students and faculty during this pandemic crisis: an above-the-line $300 charitable income tax deduction.
In 2020, non-itemizers can claim up to $300 in an above-the-line income tax deduction for monetary donations made this year. For those who take the standard deduction on 2020 returns filed in 2021, if you gave up to $300 to CTU or other non-profit organizations, you can claim a $300 tax break in addition to the standard deduction.
CTU depends on the annual generosity of our supporters to continue our mission to prepare effective leaders for the Church, ready to witness to Christ’s good news of justice, love, and peace.
We hope this tax incentive delivers the message that we’re all in this together. You are an important part of the CTU family and we appreciate your continued guidance, support and belief in our mission.
