Winter 2011: Dream Big

Dream Big features paintings, collage, and masks by Joyce Owens. Owens earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from Yale University and a BFA from Howard University. Currently an art professor specializing in drawing and painting, she is the curator of the galleries at Chicago State University. Owens’ two-person exhibition, ‘Parallel Narratives”, opened in January 2011 with Preston Jackson, at the Museum of Greater Lafayette in Indiana and included a museum workshop and lecture at Purdue University. In March 2011 Owens presented at the Art Institute of Chicago in their Art Connects program.
