Dr. Mary Amore, MAPS 1999, DMin 2004, Executive Director of Mayslake Ministries in Lombard, IL, started the Vet's Ministry three years ago and it has grown from two to five retreats per year.  The Vet's Ministry program was featured in the October/November 2011 issue of Christ Is Our Hope, the magazine of the Catholic Diocese of Joliet.   

Sr. Anne Arabome, SSS, DMin 2011, contributed a chapter entitled, "Woman, You are Set Free!" Women and Discipleship in the Church in Reconciliation, Justice, and Peace: The Second African Synod, Agbonkhianmeghe E. Orobator, editor (Orbis Books, 2011).

Sr. Mary Jo Curtsinger, CSJ, MDiv 1999, professed her final vows to become a Sister of the Congregation of St. Joseph on July 30, 2011.  Mary Jo teaches scripture and other theology courses at Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park, IL.

Timothy John Doody, MDiv 2002, received the title and honors of Doctor of Ministry at the University of St. Mary of the Lake, Mundelein Seminary from Cardinal Francis George in May 2010.  His doctoral project focused on seniors using scripture as the vehicle of personal reminiscence: "Personal Bible Journey: Praying through Scripture".  Timothy has presented his project at the Life Style Network in Chicago, IL and the National Association of Catholic Chaplains in Milwaukee, WI.   He has been invited by the Collegeville Institute of Ecumenical and Cultural Research to participate in its summer ecclesial literature project, "Words that Sing: A Week with Mary Nilsen".

Sr. Maryann Dosen, ssfcr, MA 2008, was elected vicaress General of the School Sisters of St Francis of Christ the King. She will spend the next six years in Grottaferrata, Italy in service to her Congregation. 

Beth Knobbe, MDiv 2007, recently published her second book, Party of One: Living Single with Faith, Purpose, and Passion (St. Anthony Messenger Press, 2011).

Rev. Joseph Zhang Wenxi, MA 2003, is academic dean and teaching at Hebei Catholic Seminary in Hebei Province, China.  His dissertation, "Paul among Jews" is published by Wipf & Stock Publishers.
  

 

Rest In Peace

Joan Serié Birkmann, MDiv 1988, passed away on October 7, 2011.  Joan is survived by Neal Serie of New Orleans and sons Matthew and Michael Serie.

Rev. Richard DiLeo, scj, MA 1994, passed away on July 19, 2011.

Soledad Munoz, MAPS 1997, passed away on April 21, 2011.

Robert Charles Nee, MDiv 1979, passed away on October 7, 2011. May he rest in peace.
