Fr. Komonchak is one of the leading interpreters of the legacy of Vatican II. A specialist in the Council's history and theology, Fr. Komonchak is the editor of the English edition of the five-volume History of Vatican II.
In more than three decades of teaching at the The Catholic University of America (CUA), he has taught courses on the Church, ministry, the Church's social teaching, modern and contemporary Catholic theology and the history and theology of Vatican II. Now retired, Fr. Komonchak devotes his time to continued research, writing, and lecturing.
